We developed the symbol and logo design for the 29th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships 2009 in Mie, Japan, held in September 2009 in the Mie Prefectural Sun Arena.
The symbol expressed the beauty of dynamic rhythmic gymnastics performances with a circling ribbon and ball. The flowing line spelled out the word “Mie” – the location of the event – symbolizing that the people of Mie had come together as one to welcome everyone to this championship tournament. The basic colors of blue and green evoked the beautiful nature of Mie.
